There are times that instead of posting my paintings on this blog (or in addition to) that I will post them on wetcanvas.com. Wetcanvas is such a fantastic way for me to connect with and learn from other artists. I often get too close to my paintings (especially the portraits) to be able to see errors and problems that normally I would pick up immediately. So having other trained eyes, that are usually more experienced than I am is an enormous benefit. The added “kudos” and moral support doesn’t hurt either. Feel free to sign up too-it’s free, and you don’t have to be an artist to have an opinion. Watching what artists are up to is inspiring and informative. There is a wide range of skill level, so perhaps you will want to start painting and posting yourself! Wetcanvas also has photo reference library for artists that you can contribute to, if you have that great photo that you think should be painted!
